The utility department wears many hats.  They are responsible for the overall maintenance of the town.  This includes water, sewer, debris collection, etc.  The town has 5 full-time employees in the utility department.  The department is led by Dino Schmaltz.  You can reach the utility department at (812) 432-3243.

TRASH COLLECTION

The town's trash services are provided by Rumpke.  Trash collection day is Thursday of each week.  Please make sure that your trash is on the curb Wednesday evening.  Rumpke has no set time that they pickup trash on Thursday.

All trash containers should have lids to prevent animals from entering the trash can.

BRUSH COLLECTION

The utility department of Dillsboro has a weekly brush collection on Thursday mornings.  Please bundle sticks for easier collection.  Grass clippings should be boxed or bagged.

During the fall months, the utility department will have two runs per week to collect leaves.  Please rake the leaves as close as you can to the road for collection.
